Sprayer Control Station

The basic pillar of our activity is the Sprayer Control Station.

How do we work?

The requirement to use plant protection products with technically efficient equipment, which, when used as intended, will not pose a threat to human and animal health and the environment, is a cross-compliance requirement. It is also economically justified, because an efficient sprayer allows for precise use of plant protection products, which today are not among the smallest expenses.
Any “Sprayer” ie, application equipment
plant protection products (PPC) are subject to obligatory technical inspection.

Bearing in mind the above, each owner of equipment for the application of plant protection products is required to carry out periodic tests to confirm the technical efficiency of the equipment used to apply plant protection products.

New equipment is tested no later than 5 years after its purchase. Then, tests to confirm the technical efficiency of the equipment intended for application of plant protection products specified in points 1-4 are carried out at intervals of not more than 3 years. The remaining replaced equipment is tested in periods not longer than 5 years.

It should be remembered that, in accordance with the regulations, the use of plant protection products with technically inoperative or non-calibrated equipment, as well as avoiding the obligation to subject this equipment to tests in order to confirm its technical efficiency, is punishable by a fine.

In addition, if the voivodeship inspector, in the course of controlling the use of plant protection products, finds, on the basis of the results of laboratory tests of samples of agricultural crops, that these crops contain residues of plant protection products in an amount posing a risk to the health of the consumer, he prohibits, by way of a decision, the use of these crops. agricultural products for human consumption and their placing on the market and determines the manner of their management (Article 46 of the Act of March 8, 2013 on plant protection products).

How to prepare a sprayer for technical examination?

Washing the sprayer

Before we start the tasks related to the technical inspection of the sprayer, each user should thoroughly wash the entire apparatus. We clean the camera inside and out. When washing outside, pay special attention to thoroughly washing the pump, which is exposed to the most severe dirt. For this purpose, we should use a pressure washer, adding agents that facilitate the dissolution of fat. After thorough external washing, thoroughly clean all filter elements. You can use a brush with a plastic bristle to do this, after which you can wash the inside of the tank. Finally, rinse the entire sprayer for about 10 minutes, including the field beams (without the nozzles installed).

  • the tank should be 2/3 full with clean water,
  • the power take-off shaft driving the sprayer pump must have complete and undamaged covers, the diagnostician has the right to refuse to test with a defective shaft,
  • the sprayer mounted on the tractor should be secured with plugs on the suspension system pivots, and the trailed sprayer should be secured with the hitch pin.
